AUTO IMMUNE SUPPORT

"If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you" Gospel of Thomas

An auto-immune disease is a condition arising from an abnormal immune response to a normal body part. Treatment depends on the type and the severity of the condition. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and immunosuppressants are often used.

From a Chinese Medicine point of view, Auto-Immune diseases vary greatly in their appearance, severity and the organs or channels affected. They are systemic diseases and require a systemic approach. The person needs to be considered from a range of aspects including physical, emotional, psychological, mental, spiritual. Once this is discovered, the next step is to interpret it from a Chinese Medicine point of view and an appropriate approach and support needs to be applied.

Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine are complementary practices. We can work together with you and your specialist's  recommendations to create an integrated care plan. Most of our patients are on some form of western medication. Please let Vlado know what medication you are taking so that he can prescribe the right acupuncture points and herbal formula.

Apart from the most common auto immune conditions, below are listed some of the more rare conditions Vlado has seen over his 27 years of practice. Chinese medicine may be able to assist with some of the symptoms of the conditions and disorders listed below such as pain, stress, fatigue, insomnia, nausea. If you don't see your condition, give us a call so we can best guide you in your health care needs.
